Problem With Rendering

Hi Everyone,

I was looking around for a website aiming at video editing and I landed here.
I recently got Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and was playing around with my avi movie files until I ran into a problem.

Since it's choppy when I pressed "play" in the timeline, I learned to render the video first and then correct the transitions/effects.

The problem is when I press "enter", the program does nothing. Even when I go to "Sequence"> Render Work Area, nothing happens. Can anyone shed some light on me?

Is the sequence window the 'live' panel when you're hitting enter?

When did it start having this issue? It sounds like it worked at one time...

Any major changes to your system recently?
