Correct placement of copied film strip on timeline.

While combining tape from two cameras in FCP, I copy and paste from one location to another and I am wanting to know, how to place the strip where I want it, instead of the front or back of the project. Also, how can you place it on the V track you want?

I'm not really sure I completely understand what you mean, but in order to move clips anywhere on the timeline, including onto other video tracks, all you do is click and drag.

The clip will paste where ever your Playhead is on the Timeline.

What track it goes on will default to the same track it came off of, unless you've changed the Patch Tabs or those stupid little track Auto Select indicator things at the left of each track.
