Window Problem

First, I beg your indulgence on this question. Let me preface my issue by noting that I consider set design to be high art and requires skill sets that can and should be used by interior designers and architects. I have a real world problem that i need help with and I need YOUR skill set please. Here is my is problem: We have remodeled a house and a room that used to be a bedroom (facing the front of the street) has two large windows taking up 35% of the wall space. Sparing you the details, we need to use that space for clothing racks but can't just hang clothes over a front window. We want to put up drapes in the window with perhaps a false wall behind the drapes so you will not see the clothing hung behind them. Problem is in the details. If we have a white wall behind the drapes it will look wierd from the street. There is probably a creative way to solve this problem and I am hoping someone out there knows a solution. Ideas?
