hey guys.

im making a film with my mates and we really need some expertise on what equipment we need for sound. The movie will mostly be shot outside in the bush. :?: :?: :?:

What's your budget?

What do you already have access to? (mics, mixers, recorders, etc.)

What kind of camera are you using?

Is there a lot of dialog or mostly ambience?

Are you retaining a location recordist?

Details please!

Hey guys, How about we move this topic to the Sound for Film and Video forum.

Thanks.

What I tell all the film makers is to shoot everything you need with the ANY boom mic and if it doesn't come out how you thought, mix all of your video and after you're done doing all the final cuts on the video move on to the audio. Then you can record all the dialogue and foley(footsteps/effects) in a low noise area and mix it into the film later. If you need help with the audio, email me.
