Unrendered Quicktime Files

Whenever I start a new project, all the media I import/capture is unrendered. They play fine in Quicktime player.

If I import/capture them into my first project (FCP 3 is new to me), it works fine. What gives?

Ah. Got it. I just wasn't getting prompted for the presets......all good.
