Importing Quicktime .mov file

Im working in Adobe Premiere 1.5
Everytime I import a quicktime .mov file it plays back jumpy/ jerky. when i play it in Quicktime player it is smooth and normal. The Avi file that i also brought in to that project plays fine.

any ideas?>

I assume there's a red indicator on the timeline over the QT clip?

All QT needs to render inside of PPro as it's an AVI-based application.

Once you place the file on the timeline and render it, it will play properly, though you could save yourself some time if you are making the files in another application, by outputting AVI files instead
