Hi there,
I am a photographer from moscow looking for a film school offering a course on non-feature film direction or some course where the basics of both feature and documentary are given.
the course:
1) lasts 6-36 months
2) is preferably in Europe, Canada or USA
3) better not too expensive (there is no low-interest loan system in Russia, all i can get is 1-10.000 USD at 20-22% for 1-3 years, which is not of big help of course)
4) good technical base of the school
5) language - english
in general, which schools in Europe are considered the best for teaching film-direction?
Are there organizations, film teams or TV channels who take interns (practicants) without formal education but talented . I took some workshops on dance film making and short-term courses on non-feature film-making (i would call it more non-feature film history course) and scenario-writing.
ps i considered some schools in Germany, but my German is improving very slow and i am 30 (soon will be not eligible for studying in a state school).
thanks in advance!
