Help Please! HDC F950

hey all,

new in the world of HD... ! i am shooting a short film next week. shooting on the HDC F950. i wanted to use slow motion for many of my shots, and i am a bit confused on what approach i should take for that. should i rely on the post-prod for slowing down? if so, is it codec-dependent? will DVC Pro HD codec give me good results? if not, then what way should i adopt? and also, what is the maximum rate recommended? someone told me that 60 is the maximum i can go..

would love some suggestion! concerned, coz i dont want my product to look tacky!

thanks,

best,

Suhrud

You can convert 60i to 60P for a 60 fps slow-motion effect when played back at 24 fps. You just lose a little vertical resolution.

Thanks a lot for that suggestion.. what if i want to go higher than 60 fps? say.... 200 fps???? :) too much to ask for HD? :D
