Funding for 35mm Short Film

I am a film student directing my school's first undergraduate 35mm senior thesis film. I am trying to raise $7,000 for my five minute short film. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions. I am running into some problems because I am 1) a student, 2) not a non-profit.
