hey all,
Here's another fx sequence I finished this weekend.
edit: It's a pretty important plot point here where we learn more about the rogue programmer's background. who is Daniel Richards and why does the govt think he's so important? these digital readouts of his dossier address some of those facts and supplement character dialogue (not shown here).
this one was assembled in After Effects with bg plates and assets created in Photoshop. The AE work was pretty straight forward animation. I originally had a much longer sequence with close ups of images and data streams, but this final version ended up working out best in the context of the scene where characters had already made references to facts and details that my longer sequence made redundant.
there'll be sound effects and soundtrack over this part too to add to the drama.
