Every storyteller holds a unique and distinctive perspective on the world around them. We ask you to dig deep inside yourself and imagine that you will only get ONE chance to make a movie. Ever. This is your chance to tell your story to the world, whether it be about saving the turtles, falling in love for the first time, or surviving a pandemic. Your submission will be the opening scenario for this movie and should showcase your originality as a storyteller while conveying something truly meaningful to you.
So, ask yourself…. What message do you want to share with the world with your one film? How does your story begin? What imagery will comprise the opening scenes? How will you introduce your core message? What kinds of characters will act as the vehicles for your narrative? How will the first lines of dialogue grab the attention of the audience?
The screenplay teaser you submit should illustrate the visual and narrative elements of your opening scenario. This is your chance to begin creating something truly original!

PRIZES & AWARDS
- Grand Prize Winner will receive $500 in cash to serve as seed funding for their project, a private consultation with award-winning screenwriter, Michael Tabb, a one-year subscription to Final Draft Software, a signed copy of Prewriting Your Screenplay: A Step-by-Step Guide to Generating Stories by Michael Tabb, and an ECA School of Film & Television’s Summer Scholarship.
