Hi, i was wondering if anyone has any opinions about iMovie. I am about to compete in the Insomnia Film Festival this saturday and have never used iMovie before (i've only made one movie and that was using the crappy Windows Movie Maker). Also, for some reason, I can't import video from my camera (a Sony Handycam) into iMovie. I am running out of time to learn these things, so the faster anyone can respond to this, the better.

Although very basic (not a lot of options, minimal effects), iMovie does a decent job. For an interface the Canopus the ADVC-55 goes for about $200. Again, very basic but does a nice job.
