“The Scalpel” Festival UPDATE 11-28-24!

I am producer and composer for a never-released 1936 silent horror film made by a then 19-year-old filmmaker in Seattle. If you are in LA, check this incredibly unusual nearly 90-year-old silent film. It has amazing VFX including a transition similar to an Oscar-winning effect done 5 years before in “Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde” - 1931) Richard Lyford made 9 films before he was 20 years old with family and friends. He then went on to work for Disney and eventually directed an Academy Award-winning film. If you are not able to attend the screenings (more are coming) feel free to contact me for links.
Another Lyford film that I produced in 2019, “As the Earth Turns” is on Amazon, TUBI, etc. It was also on Turner Classic Movies.
