Marvel Recreation Universe BTS Episode 5: Directing.

In this episode, the Cast and Crew of Mru discuss experiences on set and what it was like to work with me on this Production.

These episodes are very educational. I like the "behind the scenes" shots, they show the mood on set. :D

I have so much to learn from your videos!

Marvel Recreation Universe BTS Episode 7: Age of Ultron

Our Age of Ultron Scene Recreation required us to create a Motorcycle scene from scratch, figure out how to strap a shield onto Captain America's back, and more.

In this episode, we break it all down.

I was so happy to see this episode! :D I love the fact that you are so excited and you explain everything so well!

Marvel Recreation Universe BTS Episode 8: Ant-Man

Our Ant-Man Scene Recreation required us to blend cgi water with practical water background plates, find creative solutions to costumes, and more.

In this episode, we break down everything it took to bring our Ant-Man Scene Recreation to life.

This SR is very special to me, as it was one of the few non-negotiable sequences in our film.

Many Scene Recreations changed during the brainstorming and Pre-Production of our Film, (Our Winter Soldier SR was originally the Elevator sequence before the it was changed to the Highway fight.)

but from some of the earliest planning of our film, this SR remained the same.

Wait, you used CGI water on top of real water? I really couldn't tell the difference!

I am amazed to see that the blue screen was actually on a stool.

Marvel Recreation Universe BTS Episode 9: Captain America Civil War Cap meets Spider-Man

Our Captain America Civil War Scene Recreation #1 required us to add additional camera shakes and movements, layer 3d objects on top of each other to create a more dimensional look , and more.

In this episode, we break down everything it took to bring our Captain America Civil War Scene Recreation #1 to life.

This Scene Recreation is interesting because it was not in the initial Film Layout, and was a last minute addition to our Film.

When we were prepping to film all of Jon's Spider-Man scenes, I realized that after the long wait for Jon to perform Peter Parker, ( The role was promised to him in March 2019, and we began filming him as Spider-Man in October 2020) we did not have any sequences featuring him fighting as Spider-Man.

So we added this sequence to the film that he way could jump/flip and get in action as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

(Initially, Spider-Man and Captain America battled in this SR, (Filmed, but no vfx added.) and we cut it in the editing room, as the final dialogue interaction between Cap and Spider-Man worked better for the sequence.

(Also, we had another action heavy Captain America Civil War scene, with our Captain America vs Iron Man SR, so the battle between Steve Rogers and Peter Parker got cut.)

This SR is our most popular SR, and I think a lot of that comes from Jon's genuine respect and love for the character of Peter Parker. It really comes off the screen and you feel it.

It now hits me how difficult this was for the actors, not just for the post-production team.
