Where to Start?

Hello, I just graduated from highschool not too long ago and I found that I have a passion for filmmaking. I have a small youtube channel where I have created many different kinds of videos that showcase my skills writing/acting/editing ect. I wouldn't say I am a professional but I at least have some skills and minor experience. Now my question is where do I go from here? I am hoping to join a small production team where everyone shares creative input while I help out however I can. Any tips on where I should start or things I may not have considered?

Great question — this is exactly where many filmmakers find themselves when starting out. A simple way to approach this is to think about your first project’s goal, timeline and available tools and budget. Once you have that, you can break it into stages: development → pre-production → production → post → distribution.
