Water....

I have a shot where we need a POV shot FROM a rose that has been dropped into the water. . . as in, seeing from the rose's perspective. I'd like to find a way to make it appear as if water is splashing around the rose as it looks up at the character who dropped it. I don't have an underwater casing. How would I go about this in post (eg. some strange sort of 3d refraction effect)? Or if someone has an idea how not to do it in post. . . either way, thanks.

Can you use a glass tray or aquarium tank?

You could also use a mirror at the bottom of a tray of water and point the camera down at it, as long as you don't notice that you are looking both at the top of the water and seeing back up through the water at the same time.

Mirror. . . interesting. I like the thought. . . a lot. I'll try it in my bathtub!

Looks like we don't need the effect after all. It turned out nice without. What do you all think?
