Hi everyone! Happy New Year!
I wanted to share that submissions for the Vaughan International Film Festival (VFF) are open now until January 31st!
VFF is a short film festival located in Vaughan, Ontario (just north of Toronto). Since 2012, VFF has evolved into a global platform for both emerging and established filmmakers, offering unparalleled opportunities to showcase their work and connect with the broader film community.
We are also proud to offer our Student Film Competition which invites high school students across Ontario to submit their short films for the chance to have their work screened in front of a live audience and judged by industry professionals. Winners are awarded bursaries and prizes to support their future endeavours in filmmaking.
International Films:
- Must be produced after January 1st, 2024
- Runtime no longer than 20 minutes (including credits)
- Foreign language films must include English subtitles
- Submit through FilmFreeway
Student Films:
- Must be produced between September 3rd, 2024 and January 31st, 2025
- Runtime no longer than 10 minutes (including credits)
- Must be produced by current students from the same Ontario high school
- Adults must not be involved in any creative aspect of the film and can only be featured as subject matter (i.e. documentary)
- Submit by emailing [email protected] with a Google Drive link to your film, completed forms, and student IDs
