urgent please help

Hello Everybody,

I am planning to make a short film ( 4 min) in another 10-15 days. I would require some help regarding the lighting. The film has a single character performing which will be shot in a Lock-up ( Prison with a guard standing in the lock-up)...the film is about a criminal who repents a few days before his execution. Please let me know what kind of lighting should I use to carry the mood which can enhance the quality and content of the film. I am visualizing the scene to be shot in dark with one light hanging from the ceiling...what do you suggest???

I would highly suggest just watching Shawshank Redemption and the Green Mile for a lot of prison lighting scenes. Watching on mute is a great way to learn from it.

Jail scenes at the opening of Batman Begins and Catch Me If You Can are also both good.
