The Chicago International Movies and Music Festival CIMMfest - Announces our first annual Student Film Competition!

We are excited to extend an invitation to students and recent graduates to submit their films to CIMMfest #7, taking place April 16-19, 2015.

Now celebrating our 7th year, CIMMfest (http://cimmfest.org) brings together an international community of artists, producers, musicians and directors to share their work on stage and screen. This year we are adding student filmmakers from the Midwest and beyond to showcase their work.

Our jury is comprised of prominent film industry professionals and include filmmakers Steven A. Jones and John McNaughton (Mad Dog and Glory and Wild Things), as well as, CIMMfest programmers Adam Montgomery and Andy Markowitz. Adam is also the Senior Manager of Programming for the Sundance Film Festival and Andy is the cofounder of Musicfilmweb.com.

CIMMfest accepts short films in all genres and music videos. The Best Film will receive a $200 award; the Audience Favorite film will receive $100, in addition to awarding several honorable mentions. Up to 10 jury selections will be screened during the festival. Authors of all the films included in the showcase will also receive a free CIMMfest pass.
