I think it is a major accomplishment of the marketing and pr firms when filmmakers are more in love with and concerned with the technology they use to tell the story than the story they tell. I read forums where filmmakers go on and on endlessly arguing about the best software and the best camera. Some have taken techno babel to new realms of illusion and some are creating new religions. Trust me. The best camera, lenses, writing software and the best editing software and computer systems in the world will not create a moving story. I don't care how much you might be told to believe they will, they will not. Start with a good story.
