hi Guys,
I've been deliberating for about a month on which camera to purchase, I have a budget of no more than $2000 for the camera.
One decision i have firmly made is that i do not require HD capabilities at this stage as i am at a point which i think is lower than Student :?
Two cameras i've looked at which seem ok are the Sony VX2100 or the XM2 from canon - the FX1E would be great, but it goes too far over budget - should i save and wait to purchase a HD capable model anyway? or just get into the SD stuff now and get better before going up to HD when my requirements and knowledge have advanced? (that is probably a self answerable question
)
I plan to do mainly family stuff and also the odd surfing video to document the trips we go on every year - so more of a documentary kind of movie making - although i have no entirely ruled out a story for one of the surf videos to accompany the beautiful scenery.
water housings (10m capacity) go for about $1500 or so - so i need to factor that into the budget as well.
