White Balance Problem on my Sony vx2100!!

The white balance button on my vx2100 is not working. When i go to click the scroll button to set it, the white balance symbol on the screen continues to blink and never sets. When the white balnce is on, it has a green tint and when off, blue tint. I have had this camera for three years and nver had this problem. Please HELP!

Is the white object you're balancing on bright enough? My TRV900 was often unable to do a manual white balance in low light.
