Sony TTRV950 DV camera

i recently learned the Sony TRV950 DV camera and it was a crash course. I would like to know if one can do animation the old style way, like frame by frame, or second by second. or is there a way/adjustment to do clay animation and the like.

When I was in fourth grade, that's all I did... You can make the shutter 1/4 of a second on some cameras (not necessarily yours), and it only takes 1/4 second shots. After every 1/4 you move the set up a little, and after a long time you have an animation. You might be able to get the same effect by pressing the record button on and off really fast. Hope this helps.
