i have a trv900

i bought a sony trv900 about two years ago. granted it was used, but with in about 6 months it broke down on me. (and i am very careful with the camera) the dv tape got stuck in the deck.
since i got it repaired, it has been decent but a few of my dv tapes have some how stopped working after being used. i hardly use it for filming due to quality.

as for quality, it sucks in low light, the image is hardly readable, so visually it is a joke.

ive seen and used better cameras that are about or near the same price.
that come up with much better visual quality. canon has some great cameras too.

good luck on your search, this is just what ive been through, hope it helps.

about 6-7 years ago it was a great camera, well ahead of its time in the prosumer market. In fact, I have one and love it. However, it can't compare to some of today's cameras in terms of low light performance, color reproduction, and image quality. It's good to play with, but not for much serious work.

is there anything better under $1000? Ive got a tight budget
