You're saying that after you locate this 'blown micro-fuse', which you've assessed and confirmed 100% as the only problem, you'd rather fix it yourself than send it in and have it fixed by a professional?
Hmmmmmmm....
Is the camera still under warranty?
If not, I still feel the cost of sending in the camera and having a micro-fuse replaced by a professional engineer is highly justified when the only alternative you’ve given yourself is cracking open the camera with your bare hands and possibly damaging the entire unit permanently.
I really can't endorse this kind of a move, as it puts the camera, and yourself at high risk for further damage.
