Scout Film Festival returns for its fourth year from April 16-18, 2020! We are honored and delighted to announce that this year’s event will be hosted by the iconic Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), a breathtaking waterfront art museum and exhibition space located in Boston, Massachusetts.

We are excited to invite Filmmakers aged 24 and under to submit your short and feature-length films in two separate age categories - aged 18 and Under and aged 19 to 24 - for consideration in Scout Film Festival 2020. We are accepting free submissions exclusively through FilmFreeway now through our FINAL DEADLINE of January 10, 2020.

Last year, we received 2,166 submissions from 105 countries! Scout, our global community and our audience enjoyed a vast cultural landscape of unique and impactful storytellers who inform, engage, entertain, offer a fresh perspective on the world we live in, and inspire change. We are ever more eager to continue celebrating the best of emerging film and to building an accessible, educational community.

To teen and emerging filmmakers; we invite you to submit your short films, to inspire and connect us - YOUR FILM IS YOUR VOICE AND WE HEAR YOU. To our global audience of film lovers; join us at Scout Film Festival 2020 to discover and support stories that will entertain you for a few moments and impact you for life.

Scout's mission is to empower and connect filmmakers and audiences through a curated collection of diverse stories. Our team works to encourage creative thinking, connect emerging filmmakers with peers and industry leaders, celebrate the expression of emerging filmmakers worldwide, and engage youth in making the world a better place through film.
