I've created a line and I'm wondering if I can animate a light along this line that I drew with the pen tool?

Any tutorials regarding this type of animation would be appreciated.

Solved my problem but now I've run into another... How do I apply a glow and hue/color effect to particles instead of the whole scene?

Here's what I have so far, it's only red because the layer with trapcode particles is on some difference mode. I want to make the particles red and glowy without making the whole bloody thing red and glowy!
