We are a leading filmmaking magazine based in New York, dedicated to providing valuable insights and resources to the filmmaking community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team and manage our financial records and transactions.

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to handle our financial accounts and maintain accurate records. This is a part-time position requiring your presence in our New York office one day per week to manage all bookkeeping responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accuracy of transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger entries.
  • Process payroll and maintain employee records regarding salaries, taxes, and benefits.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to assist in financial audits and tax preparations.
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Requirements:

  • Proven experience (3 years) as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Physical presence is required in our New York office one day per week.
