NYC Film experience.

This is a question for anyone in the city (or knowlege there of), but in particular Kim.

I have looked into NYFA and found their 4/6/8 week programs fascinating.

My purpose is to get out of California and make some films in NYC, and these short, wham-bam programs seem to fit the bill.

I am going to be in the city to evaluate NYFA the first week in Dec., and my question anyone in the NYC film crowd is:

What other comparable programs or opportunities should I look into during my stay?

I am not sure what to tell you. I don't really have inside information on NYFA.
We will be having some workshops here in the next few months.
