New TV PILOT runway lights

hello, my name is rey and i am trying to produce tv pilot based on modeling etc... i need help on lighting the runway. planning on using cheap halogen lights but dont know how many lights and watts will i need.? How should i place them? i am thinking on shooting inside a banquet hall,and i will have dj lights and everuthing but i want the models to be well light up. please help

Perhaps you should be looking into fluorescents in order to light the length of a runway with soft light that doesn't generate as much heat or need as much power.

thanks for answering but still im lost. U mentioned fluorecent... but how can i exactly place them,, should i just buy a few big bulbs and place them all over the runway?

i will be interviewing the models at the end of the runway, so fluorecent will be enough you think?

i have read in other posts from other sites that halogen are good because they will have more watts, but i need a very soft light on the face, since ill be doing close ups
