Hi there, I've got a quetions about mobile sound devices. I have been looking for mobile field recorders up to $400 dollars. I want to produce short films exterior/interior and music videos. There are three field recorders I have taken a closer look to: TASCAM DR-100, Olympus LS-100 and Roland R-26. Which one would you pick? I need help. Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Michael, I'm In Argentina and I don't know the costs od these recorders where you are but the Zoom H4n is the best one (here U$S 600).
the other option is an adapter (BeachTek, etc) in order to connect microphones to your camera but you need an adapter that can disable the AGC function (automatic gain control) in your camcorder , if your camcorder has this function and you don't want to buy an adapter see this cheap solution (I tried it and works ok) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnQAd23wFes
