I am having some difficulty to adjust the color saturation, bright and contrast levels of my short film correctly. I do not have a calibrated monitor and all adjustments I made or get too bright or too dark.

Any tips on other tools I could use to get it doine correctly. It will be finished for DVD. On production we used a Panasonic AG-DVX100 and due to the cinelike settings the aquired film gets one or two stops underexposed.

I am editing on Adobe Premiere.

Don't know what Premiere's built-in color correction is like (never used it), but other programs like Avid have a color correction waveform monitor which will give you a good idea of whether you're in the right kind of range... basically it will show you the brightness across the screen along with the maximum and minimum limits for broadcast, so you can tell if you're too bright or too dark. If Premiere has similar, that's probably your best bet.
