Multiple camera clips and color correction

Hi I used Sony VX2100 and a Canon Gl2 both 3 ccd cameras to shoot a program. The whit balance and other setting on both these cameras is different. I have imported the footage to Final Cut and when I am trying to do color correction I am not able to make both look similar. Is there any way that you guys would suggest so that I could make the clips that I shot on GL2 to look like the one from my Sony camera.

Any insight would be appreciated and thanks in advance for passing on the info.

try cropping one the shots from one camera and placeing it over a shot by the other. Then you can compare side by side during color correction.

I had a similar problem recently. I was shooting two cameras and lost a battery and could not stop a long scene to re-white balance. I found it best to find something white in both scenes and match the whites with color correction. It is still hit and miss but it worked fine. Good luck. JimT
