Just ordered a DVX-100B anything i should now

As the title says i just ordered my Panasonic AG-DVX-100B and I was wondering if theres any advice or stuff i should look out for, any knowledge. Also how do you think this camera stack up to the Canon XH-A1.

I've found that when you insert a tape, you need to "help" the mechanism that pulls the tape down into the camera. When you push it in, keep some pressure on it as it goes down, otherwise the transport may eat the tape and give you an error. I've had this problem on two dvx100B's so far.
