dont believe for a moment that it will be "cheap" or that better technology = better stories but its nice to see!
36bit 4:4:4 RGB!!! and perhaps this is only the start of it!

Interesting idea, but from what I gather they're using 'pixel shift' to get the pseudo-HD resolution, so they don't have a 4:4:4 source in the first place! At best it will be about equivalent to a 4:2:2 source (still not a bad thing).
