The word "good" is kind of subjective. But the rule of thumb is that if the mic came with the camera, its not a good mic... Maybe its good enough for what you're doing I don't know but my first thought would be to acquire a better mic.
As a rule of thumb remember that, for the most part, the camera manufacturers are focusing on (pardon the pun) the visual aspects of their products, so the audio capabilities will not be of the same quality. This includes the mic, the mic pre-amps and the audio AD/DA converters. If nothing else a separate mic on a boom will allow you more options when capturing the audio.
