I have a file of 800 animation frames I will be rendering in maya and wonder if final cut express would be suitaable for importing and editing them into a finished animation? (I also have imovie and director available)

What format would they best be rendered in for import?

Thank you for your reply!

to get a clean render, you've got to render every frame in individual files.. so Targa files are good quality. Then you've got to import your sequence into a program and tell the program that every image imported is 1 frame.. or else the program will just put each picture for 5 seconds or something...

Personaly I would render the Maya animation in AVI not to break my head, but it sometimes cuts down alot of quality... and takes long...

Anyway... GL... and if I were you.. I'd get an after effects program to assemble the animated frames togeather.. like Combustion...

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. When you mean an after effects program,

QUOTE:"Anyway... GL... and if I were you.. I'd get an after effects program to assemble the animated frames togeather.. like Combustion..."

how about after effects, which I also have?

Could you explain why this type program instead of final cut etc.

Thanks for the reply!

Robert
