ideas on how to do this....

hi i am going to make a 12 X 12 room with a window on one wall, i am omly constructing two of the walls because they are the only ones in the shot... i want to have it look like an old detectives office...

i want to be able to see brick behind torn wallpaper in various spots...

what do you think is the best way to do this, wallpaper, fabric, paint...

any suggestions would be great.

You can go to a home improvement store and buy a 4'x8' panel of faux brick. Put that up as your wall, cover with wallpaper or thin wall board, then tear away. Age it a bit with dirt and dust, maybe a few stains, and BAM! there's your brick wall. The brick looks pretty good too.
