I need help starting my short.

ok. Here is my problem. I wrote an excellent short and I'm all ready for it but where do I begin?. How do I tell this story? How do I make it make sense? It is my first time making a film thats serous. Do I just go with my gut? If anyone has some suggestions please help me.

Since it's personal, you should know exactly what you want. So, in my opinion, you should be the director. No compromises, do it the way you imagined.

Try story boarding the story out. That will help refine your vison, it will also make it easier to tel if it makes sense or not. Once you have it storyboarded the next best place to take it is to draw up a floor map of all the shots you want. From there you can schedule and prioritise.

Yeah storyboarding helps alot. It allows you to see the film before you film it.
