Would someone please spare me a lot of faffing around?

I would like to transfer windows moviemaker files via sony vegas/sony dvd architect into a format suitable to burn to dvd that will work in most dvd players.

could someone please give me a step by step please..i'm not too good with this kind of stuff. :-)

First, render your video in AVI format with Movie Maker.

Then load up rendered video in Vegas, if you still have editing to do, do it..

Then go to DVD architect, and make a menu, place your final rendered video then burn

Hey DBX,
would vegas be able to import QT or WMV files, or does it have to be AVI?
BTW, I'm moving this thread into the post production section, but leaving a shadow in the newbie section.

hey thanx for replying.

it took me a while to realise i needed a firewire from DV Cam to PC, to enable me to save avi. I have a dozen movies i could do with burning to dvd saved only in wmv, windows movie maker files. Can I do anything about this and change the file to avi? Or do I have to upload all my films onto my pc again but this time using the firewire/avi method.

Thanks

Dman
