Hello! I am new! My name is Clayton Jenkins. I am the founder of the Razor Crusaders, a scooter crew. [Yes we scooter and take it semi not seriously but its fun you should try some time]. We have been going at it for a few years now and this year have acquired 2 HD cameras with 2 more POV HD's [go pro HD] on the way.
For our second feature length film, I want it to be available online for free. We have lined up a sponsor for a Vimeo PLUS account. Meaning we can upload HD files up to 1 gig.
IT IS POSSIBLE!!! Here is an example! In fact this is 40 minutes. [They used a .MOV output... should I do the same?]
I was wondering how we would go about doing this? Our film is projected to be around 30 minutes long.
I will be using the following equipment:
Final Cut Pro
Sony hdr sr12
I need to be pointed in the right direction here. How can I get a 30 min HD [720] down under a gig???? What outputs should we use? I'm a noob but not so much as a noob that I'm hopeless. I'm resourceful and can look things up. Just help point me in the right direction.
Any ideas? I know I'm asking a lot
