$1,749.95 at B&H, and I don't think you'd do much better.
Now, bear in mind this is not a giant P2 card. The FS-100 is a P2 Appliance, it adds functions to the HVX that the HVX doesn't have on it's own. Record in native QuickTime format, with the soon to be release version 4.0 of the firmware, clip spanning inside the FS-100. I use the HVX and FS-100, and it's VERY worth the cost. You'll never have to spend another penny on tape ever again.
If you get the Canon and an FS-4, you'd be spending about the same amount, and you'd be dealing with HDV, not DVCPRO-HD. Yes, DVCPRO-HD has some advantages over HDV in recording and in post.
You may be able to find one on eBay for around $1000 even, but be sure you know where they bought it from and have all that paperwork so you can have the warranty honored. eBay, roll the dice, take your chances...
