From Avid to DVD

Here's the problem I am having:
I make the quicktime reference from Avid, then I go into Sorenson Squeeze to transform it into mpeg2 file. From there, I get 2 files: a m2v file and a mpa file. For burning DVDs I only have Nero, software that unfortunately doesn't let me import the mpa file. There is an option in Sorenson to link the audio, but it doesn't make just one file.
What should I do? Thanks.

You should be able to use Sorenson to produce a .mpg file, which has both audio and video in the same file. Is that the format that Nero expects?

I'm not sure which version of Squeeze you have, but in my version you do that by selecting 'Program' file rather than 'Elementary'.

what i do is when i am all done with avid i dump back to tape, (when you export from avid the video tends to lose alot of quality) my dvd burner came with a free version of Roxio. Roxio is capable of capturing video, well this version at least. I open roxio and capture the final edit right from tape, add titles maybe a simple background and youve got a DVD with excellent quality Video. For more advanced DVD stuff try to upgrade to Adobe Encore, it ROCKS!
