Another question...If my computer has no FireWire port, can I import from my camera to my computer via an S-video cable? Thanks for the responses.

Unless you have an analog video input board in your computer (you'd probably know if you did...) The S video port is most likely an output only to output your display to a video monitor.

FW cards are cheap (relativley) at under 50 USD...so adding one to a system isn't prohibitive at least...
