Enhancing Filter

Hi everyone.

I know that it is beautiful to shoot foliage using an enhancing filter, such as the Lee Enhancer which strongly effects reds and oranges, but what happens to skin tones with this filter? I am filming a scene in the woods on 16mm, and think that the Lee Enhancer would look magical on the trees but am worried about my actor's faces.

Warm tanned faces can go plum-colored if you're not careful. Tiffen will make a "half enhancer" as a special order item, but it basically accomplishes this by being half as thick, making it somewhat fragile.

Mind in the woods, that even normally, greens need more light to llok normally bright (since the human's eye sensitivity is higher in greens than film or video is) and that enhancing cuts greens a little, since it boosts reds and orange...

Did you try Soft FX, gives another look but interesting on skin...
