Hello.
I am intrested in learning cinematography, I am going to be going to LA city college and planning on taking photography classes. My question is can I just take cinematography classes or do I have to take all the film classes?

I would suggest taking all the film classes. Just learning how to light and shoot is good but if you take directing and editing classes it teaches you how to shoot for the edit and get some insight into what the director is going to want. Just learning the one small part of the puzzle you want to do is good but knowing how to do it all makes you more aware of whats going on around you and helps you interact with the rest of the crew easier.
