Hi! I dropped out of film school because of tuition. I've saved up some money but I don't want to go back to film school cause the long process. Can anyone suggest any good classes or workshops? I'm in NYC area. I've tried NYFA and do NOT want to go back there.
A few years back I took Solar's lighting and filmmaking workshops and would definitely recommend them both. I know they also offer one just for cinematographers. They really throw you into things and teach you how to get what you want on a tight budget.
I've taken other classes in the city, including some at that school you mentioned, but was pretty disappointed. You want to find a place that is engaging with the students.
