Camera needed *VERY* low budget

Im looking for a decent camera on a very low budget. I hear people talking about low budget as in the 2-3K range but Im looking for something no more than $7-800. I know the quality isnt going to be as good as the $2K+ cameras, but thats fine with me. Any ideas would be very helpful.

You could rent a camera for about that much that would be a whole lot better than getting a 7-800... just an idea.
