I am not quite good with Avid. I have to finish this one commercial video which now only needs some music. I was wondering if anyone could help me out? I somehow got my music to import on Avid, but my sequence is barely 1min30sec. long and the song is definitly longer than that. How can I cut the song shorter and into specific parts? And if I want to incorporate another song but only parts of it in? I hope someone can help me out...I'm trying to meet a deadline of one week here and ALL I NEED IS TO EDIT THE MUSIC IN....

Well, you can set in and out points for audio just like video. However, like most video editing programs I've used, Avid only lets you cut audio at frame boundaries (1/25 or 1/30 of a second), so you may not be able to cut it accurately enough to create a shorter audio mix without sounding weird at the cut points.

Personally I'd cut it down in an external audio program that's designed for that kind of thing.
