Audio Capture in FCP not linked

Does anyone else have this problem of capturing from tape in FCP and the two audio clips and the video are not linked together? That is, if you drag them to the timeline at first they are synched and all but if you move just one of the audio tracks it moves independently and not with the other. I know if you select them as a whole and then move that works but there was a time in FCP when this wasnt necessary. Any suggestions?

Did you make sure the audio/video track link button is pushed down. It should be located above your timeline on the right.

It also depends on how you captured the media as to how audio is originally connected. In the capture tool look at the audio portion, you have them captured linked as a stereo pair or seperated into split audio. Once it is captured you can then relink the audio as a stereo pair if you've captured incorrectly. Lookup 'stereo pair' in the manual or online help.
